Trade mission to Australia

Business Finland’s Hydrogen and Batteries program is organizing a trade mission to Australia on 23 – 25 October, 2023. The trade mission will be arranged right before the 3rd APAC Hydrogen Summit and we encourage companies to also participate in this summit.  

Building on the foundation of the P2X Partnership between Finland and Australia, we will deepen the collaboration on Green Minerals, incl. Green Steel as well Future Fuels for heavy transport (focus on marine & aviation). Further, we will also explore Offshore wind opportunities emerging as Australia declares another region in New South Wales.

The purpose of the trade mission is to learn more the concrete market opportunities across P2X projects, as well as the opportunity to join academia lead industry consortia. Activities include:

• Learn about Offshore wind, hydrogen production & green steel opportunities in the Illawarra - Port Kembla region – we will team up with companies traveling from Denmark & Norway
• Targeted workshops between academia and business focusing on:

  • Green Minerals, incl. Green Steel

  • Future Fuels for marine / aviation

• Invitation only State Government Briefings, Pitch & Networking session with local businesses

The key objective is to build strong and sustainable business partnerships between Finnish and Australian supply chains to deliver successful projects advancing the Green Transition in Australia.
