Vetyalfa's land use planning proceeds
The land use planning Of Vetyalfa's Meltaus project has progressed to the the participation and assessment scheme.
Vetyalfa is planning a renewable energy project in Meltaus, Rovaniemi. The project includes wind power, solar power, and a 50 MW hydrogen plant.
The land use planning has progressed to the participation and assessment scheme, which was announced on 28 May 2025. The participation and assessment scheme is a plan for organising the participation of stakeholders and assessing the impacts of the land use plan, and it is presented at the early stage of the land use planning process.
During the hearing period 28.5–30.6, all interested parties can submit oral and written opinions. Opinions must be submitted to the Rovaniemi City Registry by post or email. The plan materials are available on the City of Rovaniemi website at www.rovaniemi.fi/kaavatori.
A public event is held in the Meltaus chapel parish hall on 11 June 2025 from 5–7 pm. Coffee will be served at 4:30 pm.
