Gasgrid selects StreamTec Solutions as engineering partner
Gasgrid Finland has appointed StreamTec Solutions as its owner’s engineering partner to support the development of hydrogen transmission infrastructure projects in the Baltic Sea region.
The framework agreement with StreamTec has been awarded for a minimum duration of four years, with the possibility of extensions for an additional four years.
The contract will primarily focus on two key projects. The first is the Baltic Sea Hydrogen Collector (BHC), which explores the feasibility of constructing an extensive offshore hydrogen pipeline infrastructure linking Finland, Sweden, and Central Europe. This pipeline would enable the production and distribution of clean, sustainable hydrogen to address Europe's energy demands.
The second project is the Nordic Baltic Hydrogen Corridor (NBHC), which seeks to establish a hydrogen infrastructure connecting Finland to Germany via Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland by 2030.
