EIA report on the Oulu Laanila hydrogen project published
Oulun Energia and P2X Solutions Oy are planning a green hydrogen and electric fuel production plant in Oulu's Laanila industrial area, with the aim of promoting the transition towards low-emission energy production and industry. The environmental impact assessment (EIA) procedure for the project has now reached the assessment report stage.
The aim of the assessment report is to describe the options for the project and assess their environmental impact. This stage also gives stakeholders and the public the opportunity to consult and provide feedback on the assessment before decisions are taken by the authorities.
The Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIA), as required by the Environmental Impact Assessment Procedure Act, will be available for electronic consultation from 15 September to 14 October 2025 on the Environmental Administration's project website and a public meeting on the EIA procedure will be held at Hotel Lasareti (Kasarmintie 13b, 90130 Oulu) on Tuesday 07 October 2025 from 17.30 to 19.30 and remotely (Teams meeting, link can be found on the project page). Coffee will be served from 17.00.
