Baltic Sea Region Hydrogen Council project launched

An official collaboration agreement has been signed by Vätgas Sverige, Latvian Hydrogen Association, Nexus Consultants, BotH2nia, Estonian Association of Hydrogen Technologies, Lithuanian Hydrogen Energy Association, Brintbranchen and Ukrainian Hydrogen Association for partnerships in the Baltic Sea Region Hydrogen Council project, funded by Svenska institutet.

Baltic Sea Region Hydrogen Council project launched

Eight partners representing eight countries around the Baltic Sea Region and Ukraine will be working together to accelerate hydrogen development by:

  • Exploring new transnational value chains
  • Preparing for large-scale hydrogen storage
  • Unlocking the potential of cross-sectoral applications
  • Collaborating on policy issues
  • Competence transfer to Ukraine

The signing ceremony, which was held at a special reception at EUSBSR – EU strategy for the Baltic Sea Region in Riga 2023 on 5 October, was attended by Bjorn Aronsson, Pawel Seremak from Vätgas Sverige, Aivars Starikovs from Latvian Hydrogen Association, Walerian Majewski from NEXUS Consultants, Berndt Schalin, from BotH2nia, Ain Laidoja from Estonian Association of Hydrogen Technologies, Šarūnas Varnagiris from Lithuanian Hydrogen Association, Tejs Laustsen Jensen from Brintbranchen and Vasyl Doronin from Ukrainian Hydrogen Association.

We are very happy to bring together the Baltic Sea Region countries and Ukraine, learn from each other and increase competence to reduce carbon emission.
