Academic actors to support Finland in the hydrogen transition – Finnish Hydrogen Research Forum seminar on Monday 10.10.2022 at the University of Oulu

Finnish research and education institutions have established the Finnish Hydrogen Research Forum to support Finland in its transition to hydrogen and in the international hydrogen competition. (Read more at https://www.oulu.fi/en/news/academic-hydrogen-research-forum-finland-established.)

The Forum promotes Finnish hydrogen expertise through joint action plans and visions for the future. The upcoming event will launch a series of seminars showcasing Finnish hydrogen research and transition.

"The Finnish Hydrogen Research Forum is a forum for those conducting or interested in hydrogen-related research, enabling the formation of holistic views. This is important in achieving a comprehensive national hydrogen action plan to make Finland an internationally competitive player in the hydrogen transition. The Forum also brings together academic actors to discuss and support national decision-making," says Timo Fabritius, Professor at the University of Oulu and coordinator of the Finnish Hydrogen Research Forum.

The event will feature presentations by hydrogen researchers from several research organisations, including Antti Arasto from VTT, who will talk about current developments in international hydrogen research. Simo Säynevirta from ABB will also talk about the needs of industry in the hydrogen transition.
