Nordic Hydrogen Forum - Side Event of Kokkola Material Week

9.00 - 14.00
Kokkola, Finland

Nordic Hydrogen Forum

Side Event of Kokkola Material Week

The Nordic Hydrogen Forum, a Kokkola Material Week side event, marches the entire green transition value chain on stage. The two-part event starts with a session dedicated to clean energy production.

The Baltic Sea region is on its way to becoming a pioneer in the clean transition, but electricity production must first leap forward. Industry is electrifying at a rapid pace, and billion-dollar investments require renewable energy. How do we ensure that there is enough clean energy available? The morning's presentations and panel will focus on industrial needs, local impacts and concrete solutions.

The second part of the event will explore the implications for the energy market of the hydrogen economy that has taken off in Kokkola, looking to Japan, Europe and America.

After lunch, the speakers will hear the perspectives of major global companies on how hydrogen will be used to replace fossil fuels and raw materials. The panel discussion will summarise the value that the development of the hydrogen economy, which has already taken off in Kokkola, will create from an economic, research and climate perspective.
