The Vaasa Gas Exchange 2023 seminar is back with expert speeches and interesting panel discussions. In the seminar E Fuels and Hydrogen ecosystem – perspectives for the future opportunities, you will be able to learn about what is and will be the situation in hydrogen ecosystem in Ostrobothnia and what kind of practices we have in Finland. At the end of the seminar there will be interesting panel lead by Marko Huttula, professor from University of Oulu.

Professor, Nano and Molecular Systems Research Unit, Faculty of Science, University of Oulu
Prof. Marko Huttula, focuses in research on the electronic structure and dynamics of nanoparticles (metal clusters, environmental aerosols), heavy metal substances and applied spectroscopy. He is the Head of NANOMO Unit and coordinates the Finnish participation to MAX IV synchrotron radiation facility. He is developing tracks of doctoral training through heading multidisciplinary EU Horizon2020 doctoral programme “I4Future”. He is an author on more than 120 publications in high impact, peer-reviewed, international journals and is a reviewer in six of them.

Berndt Schalin, CEO of Flexens Oy Ab, is senior business executive with experience in both operational corporate management and private equity. He has been e.g. President of the power electronics companies Efore Plc and Powernet Oy and Investment Director at 3i Finland. He has experience in the energy sector since the 1990s, when Berndt built an international success story around energy-saving lighting technologies as Helvar's Development Director. At 3i he was responsible for Empower Oy, an energy infrastructure company, and since 2010 he has as an advisor, business angel and board professional been involved in the creation and growth stories of several energy technology-based start-up companies.
